BOTANICAL PERFUME MAKING WORKSHOP

Join Sara Phillips founder of Urban Forest Perfume Co., for a Sunday afternoon of botanical perfume making at The Yards in Washington D.C.!
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: Explore the art of plant-based perfumery in this sensory workshop, where you will learn how to blend botanical perfumes by using a basic formula with a palette of 12 different scents. A guided discussion about the history of perfumes, the differences between plant-based and synthetic ingredients, and how essential oils are obtained from their plant source.
WHAT YOU'LL GET: A 15 ml glass bottle of your personalized and hand blended perfume. Please take your time and enjoy the experience. This workshop is suitable for all levels.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Sara Phillips, the founder of Urban Forest Perfume Company, a local brand of hand-blended perfume with the mission to create thought-provoking, sybaritic, plant-based scents. Founded in 2017, Urban Forest Perfume Co. was born out of a desire to honor her deep love of nature and to share her passion for wearable, plant-based aromatics. Sara has worked for various companies in the green beauty industry over the past 15 years which cultivated her love for botanical essences. When she isn’t creating new scents, you can find her hiking, plant shopping, or at a DC United game.
